We are looking for individuals to help us to sponsor these women and children. We would love a one-time donation for any of them, or an ongoing commitment. Additionally, if something stirs your heart but is more than you can manage, we will be happy to "split" a sponsorship.
Agnus: Agnus lives in a 6x8 room with 6 of her 7 children (5 are hers, 2 are relative's). All but the oldest son are sponsored for school. We have committed to sponsor him - the cost is 50,000 shillings per term, with 3 terms per year. He has 3 years left. $25 3 times a year
Christine: Christine is a sponsored university student studying social work. She has been working at Ray of Hope as a volunteer full time, is an orphan, and supports her 3 younger siblings. Additionally, her 15 year old sister was raped and has a baby, which she also supports. We have committed to a sh 130,000 salary for her work at Ray of Hope. $65 per month ongoing
NESCO:
We have no commitments as of yet, but feel very led to support them. We are having an ongoing clothing drive, and the first clothes were given to them on December 6, 2009. We would like to help them supplement their monthly grocery budget. They currently get little meat, fruit or milk. We also would like to sponsor quarterly outings for the children. More to come!
KAIHUNA:
We will help the orphanage in this western Uganda village to build a house for their babies. More to come!
