I didn’t intend to do a group trip, but it just happened. God works like that sometimes. Right now, we have 3, but there’s a good possibility of a half dozen or so more, thanks to a new local ecumenical initiative I’m involved with called First Flight Missions. (More about that in a later post!) I haven’t done a group trip since 2013 (my own kids don’t count!) and I’ve never done a team that didn’t do a camp, so I’m excited to see how God will map it all out. If you are interested, you can see the tentative itinerary at our TRIPS page. Sign up for our newsletter to get updates (I won’t spam you), and use the CONTACT form if you’re interested in more information. Below are the super-basics:
DATES: Oct 5-21
COST: Approx $1000 + airfare
We will be doing it ALL on this trip: the co-ops in Namuwongo and Mawanga, the slums and micro-business grants in Kampala, hospice in Jinja and Tororo, and the babies home/school. We’ll also be having our regular party at Ray of Hope with all our ladies and sponsored kids, giving our Project Friendship bracelets (and maybe tees). AND a safari to Lake Mburo.
